Recently I had the opportunity to eat at a wonderful restaurant in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Chef Lawrence "Chip" Johnson is the owner and chef of The Warehouse Restaurant and Gallery. The building is deceiving from the outside. It is, after all, a former warehouse. Once inside, the warmth and character of the space surrounds you. Think loft that doesn't know it's a restaurant. I ordered Forest Mushroom Ravioli and it did not disappoint. It was so creamy and delicious!
I am fascinated by animal hyde rugs. They add so much warmth, texture and personality to a space. When I was a little girl, we had a bear rug (complete with head ) that my dad absolutely loved. Our bear rug hung on the brick wall of our den. As a Colorado native, this was not at all unusual.
I am a fan of shopping at thrift stores simply because I never know what wonderful treasure I will find. One day while on such a shopping trip, a particular table caught my eye. It had beautiful color, nice lines and had storage! What more could a gal want?
